What Is the 6/2 Profile in Human Design?

Line 6 is your conscious Role Model — the part that lives through three life phases: trial (to ~30), observation (~30–50), and embodiment (~50+). Line 2 is your unconscious Hermit — the part carrying natural talent that often needs others to call it forward.

Why It Matters

Understanding the three phases helps you navigate each transition. Your natural talent (Line 2) provides the substance that makes your Role Model phase authentic. Without self-awareness, you may undervalue your gifts or rush through phases before they’re complete.

How It Works

In phase one, you experiment with life while your natural abilities develop. In phase two, you step back to observe and process, often retreating into hermit-like solitude. In phase three, you re-emerge as a Role Model, embodying wisdom that is both earned and naturally gifted.
